It is a strange thing how control is formed and generated - mainly by the use of fear. From religions telling us that if we do something wrong, we will go to hell, to television adverts telling us that we will be disadvantaged if we dont have their product.

Living without fear in todays world would mean cutting yourself off – all this exposure to information breeds paranoia not understanding – understanding is something learnt, not something shown….

Anyways, the words below just reflect some of my feelings on this …

Peace!

From the day we are born we are programmed
Controlled, developed and “enhanced”
Natural instincts are suppressed
True beauty never stood a chance
The media tells us how to look
What to eat
What to be
What is acceptable in the eyes of the perfect few
Until “I” is a mystery

The journey of life is tainted
By expectations we try to realise
And no longer can we see the things
We saw with children’s eyes
We strive for false perfection
The perfect body
The perfect life
Life’s true treasures are forgotten
Our Soul revolves round pain and strife

But the beauty has not disappeared
It surrounds us, envelopes us, is in us
Its value still becomes worthless
Because it does not fit the mould they teach us
But music can transform us
Break the program
Release us
For a few short minutes, while the harmony is heard
The truth of life is revealed to us

I have had a perfect moment
When all in time stood still
When the vision of all senses saw with such clarity
It almost broke my will
To run in the race they tell me
To be what they tell me to be
My program was interrupted
For that moment I was free
The sense of wonder has never left me
A narcotic seeded deep within
Even with all my knowledge
My life must re-begin
To focus with the eyes of a child
To see the person not the act
Not to judge by society’s will
To understand feeling not just fact
To hear and not just listen
To look and not just see
To question and not accept
To Do and not just be
To see the beauty in my faults
And embrace them close to me
Not to be ashamed to show the face
That people seldom see
To break the loop that binds me
Release my life, be free
To stop society’s program
And develop life for me

This collaboration was never face to face, Miss Liability north of the UK (www.myspace.com/missliability), Humane Kondition in Germany (www.myspace.com/humanekondition), and InspiredFunk in sunny Woking, UK.
